Morphogem

Morphogem is a free browser-based logo and lettering generator for musicians, bands and designers. Type a name and grow, mutate and transform the letterforms into organic, extreme and unusual structures. Different seeds create different results, and everything can be exported as editable SVG for further design work.

I’m a type and lettering designer, and Morphogem grew partly out of years of drawing lettering inspired by black and death metal logos. I wanted a faster and more playful way to explore those forms, especially for bands that don’t want the visual identity stage to become a bottleneck while they’re developing their music and the rest of the project.
